The damage was not all McKee's fault, however, as Northeastern State committed three errors in the frame. Shun Araki, Branden Stidham and Eiron Ledesma worked the final 4 1/3 innings in relief for NSU, giving up three runs on four hits. The Redmen pushed across five runs in the bottom of the seventh off Bearcat reliever Jacob Taylor. In the seventh, Josh Wawrzonek and pinch-hitter Eric Humphrey both singled with one out and Donnie Webb was hit by a pitch to load the bases. An error by NWMSU's shortstop, John White, led to an unearned run and Dustin Pope singled in Humphrey to make it 12-2. Hector Morales hit a sacrifice fly to score Webb one batter later, while Jason Arrowood, after being hit by a pitch, loaded the bases again for the Redmen. Charles Kilgore singled home Pope for a 12-5 Bearcats' lead before Wawrzonek flied out to deep left-center to end the game. McKee suffered the loss and fell to 0-1. In the sixth, NWMSU allowed two walks, hit two Redmen batters and allowed another free pass after a passed ball on a strikeout with the bases loaded. In the second game, Bearcats' pitcher Jeremy Tapps had a no-hitter and a 6-0 cushion heading into the sixth inning before NSU began its fierce rally. NSU Splits Twinbill at Henderson State (2/8/04) ARKADELPHIA, Ark. --- Chris Kinter and Adam Miller both tripled to highlight a four-run seventh inning as Northeastern State came from behind to upend Henderson State, 8-5, in the second game of a baseball doubleheader here Sunday afternoon. In the opener, the Redmen failed to hold a one run lead and the Reddies took a 10-9 victory in eight innings to earn a split. NSU improved to 2-1 on the year, while HSU fell to 3-5. In the nightcap, Tanner Altares walked to start the the seventh and scored when Kinter tripled to tie the game at 5-all. Josh Wawrzonek's sacrifice fly scored Kinter to put NSU in front for good. Jake Kaminski kept the rally alive with a single, then scored on Miller's pinch-hit triple. NSU had built a 7-3 advantage heading into the bottom of the fourth. That's when the HSU bats came alive. The Reddies scored once in the fourth and four times in the fifth to take an 8-7 lead. NSU answered with two runs in the seventh. Altares' home run tied the game and the Redmen took a 9-8 lead when Wawrzonek scored on a balk.
