Redmen Athletic Association Elects Officers
The Redmen Athletic Association has elected its officers for the
2004-2005 year. Bill Scott, one of the most successful high school
football coaches in the state of Oklahoma over the past three decades,
was elected president. Executive Council members include: Francis
Wheeler, Lonnie Hale, Tom Clayton and Gerald Benn. These volunteers were
selected during the annual Oklahoma Coaches Association Clinic in
Oklahoma City in July.
Scott will assist NSU Athletic Director, Eddie Griffin, and the
Department of Intercollegiate Athletics in its annual fund-raising
endeavors over the coming months. With several projects currently under
way, additional naming opportunities still exist for many of the
renovations. Additional funds are being solicited for scholarships and
supplementing operating budgets for NSU's 10 varsity sports.
